Aware was founded in 1985 by Dr. Patrick McKeon and a small but dedicated team of volunteers, many of whom had their own personal experience with depression, or bipolar disorder. BUMBLEance is Ireland's Children's Ambulance Service. Our organisationis made-up of a network of drivers and vehicles with an aim to give a lift both physically and emotionally to our passengers. We currently operate 14 vehicles, making nearly 2,000 trips per year from Kerry to Donegal to Wexford and everywhere in between.Of our 14 vehicles, 3 are operated by the National Ambulance Service in partnership with BUMBLEance, providing urgent and critical medical transport.
