Solid Rock Drogheda are taking part in Pedal Against Poverty throughout August & September 2019 .
Together, we're going to cycle 3939km (thats 2448 miles - the same distance as from Drogheda to Beirut). I am not a cyclist, in fact my bike sits unused in the shed, but my personal target is to cover 160km (100 miles).
We've chosen to fundraise for Tearfund Ireland . All funds raised here will go directly to TearFund's work in helping Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

Wish i could be with you guys - have fun
Mission Accomplished! Weather forecast was for rain today, so a quick 7.22km before breakfast brings my total up to 160.7km - just over my goal of 160km (100 miles). 
After 18 hours sitting in planes & airports I needed to blow the cobwebs away. Another 16.38km, makes 153.48km completed. Now just 6.52KM to go! 
A beautiful sunny September morning - so out after breakfast for another 13.26km. That brings the total up to 137.1 km. Because of international travel commitments, I've only got 2 more cycling days to go before we reach the deadline of the end of the month. Just 22.9km to go to reach my target. Praying the good weather continues! 
Pedalling against poverty. Another 18.91km completed to raise funds for Syrian refugees. That's 123.84km so far - only another 36.16km to go to hit my target by the end of the month. 
A quick spin this evening to loosen up the legs! Another 6.35km makes a total completed of 104.93km. Just 55.07km to go! 
Today, Janice & I cycled the Comber Greenway in both directions - 28.04km. That takes me past the half way point to my target & makes 98.59km completed - only 61.41km to go 
Stuck at home with no car - needed to go to Dunleer for a haircut. No problem when you're pedalling against poverty! 70.55km completed to date - 89.45km to go. 
62.09km completed - 97.91km to go! 
Another 15.32km done tonight. That's 51.67km completed - 108.33km to go! 
Just a gentle spin tonight before dark. Total completed so far is 36.35km - only 123.65km to go. 
32.96km completed - 127.04km to go 
It's been a slow start - but I'm now 17.52Km - only 142.48km to go!
