I'm taking part in Abseil Croke Park on Friday 23rd of August 2019 .
I've chosen to fundraise for East Galway & Midlands Cancer Support . All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.

As many of you know I have been heavily involved in East Galway & Midlands Cancer Support since it started in my dinning room back in 2010. The Centre has come along way since starting with 5 or so people in two support groups sitting around a table in a house. We moved in to the Family Centre on John Dunne Ave for a few months for the support group meetings. After that things picked up rapidly with Boston Scientific taking us on board as one of their Charity partners for two years and helping us purchase the amazing premises we now operate from.

In just over 8 years we have gone from a few people around a table to having over 200 clients with 15 therapists providing approximately 720 treatments free of charge to our clients in the first 6 months.

That figure doesn't include those attending our 4 support groups, availaling of the Transport Service for Radiotherapy treatment in Galway, using our Gym facilities or just calling in for a cuppa.

It's not often I take part in fundraisers but looking back on how much we have already acheived I would be grateful if you could support me with 100% of funds raised going to the Charity.
