Forty years ago, Dublin Rape Crisis Centre opened its doors and phone lines to support victims of sexual violence. It is still doing that today, still empowering survivors, ensuring that their voices are heard and aiming for a society where such violence is no longer tolerated. I work in the Centre with brilliant people who have all the energy and ambition that's needed and I want to make sure that we have the funds we need to build that better, safer, more respectful society. I hope that the funds I raise will be part of that solution. I raised €1,260 last year. I wanted to increase that by 10% to €1,400 and then I had to add €40 for a birthday present for the Centre in its anniversary year
