I'm taking part in VHI Mini-Marathon 2019 on Sunday 2nd of June 2019 .
I've chosen to fundraise for Down Syndrome Dublin .

We started Rainbow Phil’s music group with Down Syndrome Dublin for children from birth to preschool, 2.5 years ago. Rainbow Phil comes for about 45 mins to entertain the kids, and they give him their full attention. Afterwards the kids play and the parents offer peer to peer support. In general therapy is out, and fun and support is key!

The time however has come that Seána needs some input from clinicians to give her the best start in preschool. So along with Jack and Caoimhe, who’s mothers are also running the marathon and fundraising here too, Seána is attending a Speech and language / occupational therapy class where they have lots of fun. They make bubble mountains, paint with their hands, jump on trampolines, sing songs, and play musical statues! All this is supported and subsidized by Down Syndrome Dublin.

So this year we are running the women’s mini marathon for Down syndrome Dublin.

All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.
