On July 21st, Caroline Doorly and Fiona Monaghan will swim 13km (between us) from Aughinish in Co Clare across Galway Bay on the Wild Atlantic Way to Blackrock in Salthill as part of the Frances Thornton Memorial Galway Bay Swim. We have taken on this venture to raise funds for Cancer Care West, a very deserving local cancer support charity. We have all been affected by cancer and if by doing something we love 🏊🏼♀️🏊🏼♀️ we can help support people as they battle one of the toughest challenges of their lives, we will have succeeded. All funds raised from our endeavours will go towards the funding and further development of Cancer Care West's Residential and Cancer Support Services. All Cancer Care West services are made available to cancer patients and their families at no charge. We greatly appreciate all financial donations for this worthy cause and we won't say no to any moral support along the way too. We will post some training update over the coming weeks and we look forward to seeing many friendly faces when we finally climb up the steps at the diving tower in Blackrock. Thank you. Caroline & Fiona.
No better woman, and a great cause. Enjoy the day!
