I'm Ellie Brennan, 38 years old with four kids and a dog! My life is mayhem so i thought why not throw a triathlon into the mix! I love swimming in the sea and running however not so keen on cycling! I work in Intensive care in Crumlin part time as the other half of my life is spent running round after my husband and kids not to mention dealing with toddler tantrums! Looking forward to becoming fitter and healthier just in time for the summer hols!!
TRAINING UPDATE 25TH JUNE
Hello All! It has been a crazy juggle working, kids and trying to train for KOG at end of July however I'm enjoying having this goal for such an amazing cause! It is lovely to get to know people I didn't and be part of a team !
I'm so nervous of the distance of the the cycle especially as I hadn't cycled since doing a paper round as a teenager !! I wish you could do 20k run a little cycle and a splash in the sea at the end ha!
We have been so lucky as the sea has been so calm that getting out down the cove swimming lengths has been fab however still nervous to put head in water 😱.
Myself and the other half have attempted running the cliff walk, up bray head and the sugar loaf ( that was so tough and a fundraiser in itself I think !! ) but the strength and conditioning classes thanks to Alex Gray has helped with building muscles I didn't know I had!!
Huge thanks to John Glynn and co for all support and encouragement to get us to the finish line .....not long to go now time to pick up the pace !!! Ellie

Amazing work Ellie, we don't know how you did it (and found time for the training!) - well done, you now deserve a big gin & tonic and a sit down!
Well done xx
