As most of you know, our son Tadhg was born at 32 weeks gestation. He spent 26 days in Neo natal before he was well enough to go home. Tadhg suffered from respiratory distress syndrome and had muscle tone issues as a result of being born preterm. Tadhg is now 8 months old and thriving! He has surprised his medical team by keeping up with his peers and his favourite thing to do is hang out with his dog Harvey.
In 2011 myself and my 2 sisters in law raised over €800 for Limerick Neo Natal, never thinking that one day my son would need the services himself.
Although we will never be able to repay the Doctors and Neo staff for all their help, encouragement and willingness to see Tadhg get along, we would love to give them a donation to put towards NICU and help any future premature babies or babies who are sick after birth. Ivan will run 13 miles at this years GLR. We are so grateful to anyone who wishes to donate and will be sure to tell Tadhg when he is older of all the people who donated to NICU in Limerick with him in mind!
