5 years ago I discovered I had breast cancer, aged 41 with a husband and two beautiful little boys aged just 3 & 6 at the time. To say I am thankful to have survived is an understatement...However cancer forced me to start actually 'LIVING' my life and stop being merely a spectator. I am very proud to say that I am a member of the wonderful/crazy/zany/beautiful charity called The Cork Dragons. We paddle on the River Lee, competitively and casually and just recently we completed the Ocean2City race covering 22 km in just 2 hours. Tara Sheridan was our captain and we now do this Dip In The Nip in honour of her memory. She is much loved and will always be our beacon. Many thanks to each and everyone of you who sponsor me to freeze my goolies off in the Atlantic ocean in a month's time. The Girls Club Cork are an amazing cancer support group and their energy is mind blowing...And unfortunately we are all a little familiar with Marymount Hospice who do untold works of kindness and empathy. So please dig deep for these 3 AMAZING Cork Charities. xxxx

She got there and typical Tara made friends immediately. Little did everyone know that she could be quite shy and had spent a childhood getting over shyness. That night though everyone sat around and told their story. Some-thing that gave Tara enormous encouragement. The following morning the group gathered together and
