Remembering Anne & Liesel

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to visit this very special page.

Family and friends of the late Liesel Page (RIP) and Anne Grogan (RIP) wish to honour these two beautiful young women by dedicating a memorial bench to them, creating a space for reflection. Money raised through this fundraising page will be used to purchase an engraved memorable bench accompanied by remembrance trees and shrubbery. This piece will be situated on the grounds of their beloved GAA club Michael Glaveys, located in Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon. This club meant so much to both Liesel and Anne, they were excellent players and inspiring passionate coaches. Anne’s & Liesel's beloved children and their nieces and nephews are current members of the club.

This fundraiser will also help to fund an annual family fun day as they were both loving mothers and family meant everything to them. This day will give everyone the opportunity to come together annually in happiness, laugher & fun, exactly what Liesel and Anne would want for their children and communities.

Liesel and Anne were caring, fun loving, young women whose lives ended unexpectedly bringing devastation and heart break to their beloved husbands; David & Ciaran, and their children, families and friends. The communities of Granlahan, Ballinlough located in Roscommon and surrounding areas were united in grief as these special ladies had touched the lives of everyone they met with their positive energy and friendly nature.

Liesel had a lifelong condition of CF (Cystic Fibrosis) but even with this illness she lived life to the full. Anne passed away after a tragic car accident. Anne too loved and appreciated everything about life. They were both very successful women who achieved so much in their short lives who had bright futures ahead of them. Liesel and Anne had so much love to give and were themselves loved by all. Their childhood relationship developed over the years into a close friendship with a beautiful sisterly like bond.

Sadly, their lives were taken suddenly, dying within a year of each other in 2019. These special ladies will never be forgotten as they will live on in the hearts of all who knew them as the memories will be retold and cherished forever.

The memorable bench and annual family fun day will be important to everyone but especially to the adoring children of Anne; Oisín, Odhrán & Áine and Liesel’s son Fionn. In years to come they will understand how much their wonderful mothers contributed to and meant to their loving familes and local communities.

We would appreciate any support or donation to this fundraiser to help us to honour Liesel and Anne and forever keep their spirits alive with thoughtful memories in our hearts.

Thank you for your support and lastly if you could share this page to inform others of this important tribute to Liesel Page (RIP) and Anne Grogan (RIP).
