Our charity partners, Alzheimer Society of Ireland (ASI), Alone and Windmill all support some of the most vulnerable people in our society and have been impacted by the Covid19 pandemic, by both increasing demand for their services and a decrease in incoming funds as many fundraising events and initiatives have been cancelled.

The ASI works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their careers.
Throughout the current health crisis, ASI continues to support people with dementia and their families by continuing to run their Home Care, Dementia Advisers, National Helpline and Online Family Carer Training. In addition ASI are implementing new ways of providing support remotely to clients and their families such as regular telephone calls and activity packages for people to use in their own homes.

ALONE provides Housing with Support, Support Coordination, Befriending and Campaigns for Change to hundreds of older people every week, who are homeless, socially isolated, living in deprivation or in crisis.
Through the COVID-19 pandemic, ALONE are providing help to these people through their network of volunteers to assist in delivering groceries, medication and fuel. They also provide a helpline for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Ireland, in collaboration with the HSE and the Department of Health. The helpline provides advice and reassurance, complementing the clinical advice and HSE helpline and support.

Windmill Therapeutic Training Unit was set up in January 1988 to serve the local community in Wexford with a real emphasis on a new approach to the stereo-typed establishments in dealing with people with intellectual disabilities.

Like many other organisations, our charity partners are looking to raise vital funds to keep supporting people through the health crisis. To try and help, Zurich and its employees are looking at new ways to raise funds and awareness for our charity partners.

We kick off our campaign with the Zurich Ireland Video Challenge. This will see a number of our employees pitted against each other, showcasing their new or existing skills of dancing, lip synching, fitness challenges, etc. We also encourage family & housemates to join in (maintaining social distancing guidelines).

 Thank you for your support,
