Guinness World Record Attempt on November 5, 2019 from the peak of Kala Patthar near Everest Base camp -"The highest Altitude for an Ultra-Marathon by an individual". This worthy Cause, in association with Mountain Experience , Kathmandu is in aid of the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu rural municipality's education and development programmes, Nepal, which is their CSR committed charity. Since the devastating earthquake in 2015, which decimated the whole district, efforts are on-going to rebuild schools and provide vital services. This GWR attempt, by Daithí Ó Murchú, Ireland, will help to further assist their efforts to regain normality of everyday life after the earthquake through Mountain Experience's on-going fundraising and Charity efforts.
