Down Syndrome Ireland - Tour de Munster

From Thursday Aug. 8th through Sunday August 11th, 2019, Elaine Browne & Pat Fitzgerald, along with a team of “leisure” cyclists will complete an extremely demanding 4-day 600km charity cycle which will take them through all the counties of Munster.

The main beneficiary for the 19th edition of this “Tour de Munster” is Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI). Specifically, the funds we raise will be used exclusively to fund vital projects for children, young people and adults with Down Syndrome. Its services include speech and language and  occupational therapy vital to development of children with Down Syndrome. DSI receive limited funding from the Government so they are heavily reliant on events such as the Tour de Munster to raise  funds.

DSI’s ultimate objective is the integration of people with Down syndrome into our community.

Everyone participating in the event covers their own costs and all funds raised through it go directly to DSI and other charities.

We would greatly appreciate any donation to this very worthy cause and help make a difference to the Down Syndrome community.

As well as completing the 600km spin it also has the added bonus of finishing up St Patrick's hill in Cork!!!  Take a look at the video from last year!
