Powerstown National School Hall Fund

Powerstown National School has committed to building a much needed School Hall. With a student population of over 350 this facility is badly needed for both sporting and social activities.

Funding for this project is not available from the Department of Education so the burden falls on the School.

The majority of the funding for the hall is being provided by the Board of Management, however, there is a shortfall of €100,000 to complete the build, this will need to be raised through local events and donations.

The Parents Council have agreed to help raise this shortfall to ensure this facility will be available for the current pupils and generations to come.

While we are acutely aware of the financial demands placed on everyone we are calling on past pupils and local community members to support this project and help bring it to fruition.

The shortfall is considerable, but with your assistance, is well achievable. Any help given to our cause will be greatly appreciated.

We wish the 6th class students of Powerstown National School the very best of luck with their transition into secondary school. They enjoyed a very special day walking up Slievnamon today. A great bunch of kids. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The kids didn’t get to benefit from the school hall but thanks to their fundraising efforts, many other kids will benefit when the new hall opens in September. Thanks to all.
