Bantry Bay Protect Our Native Kelp Forests is a Voluntary Community Organisation Protecting the Kelp and Marine Eco System in Bantry Bay, from the Experimental Mechanical Extraction  of 1860 Acres of Kelp, Authorised by our Government without proper Consultation with all Stakeholders in the Community, Without an Environmental Impact Assessment , which is necessitated by the Fact that the Mechanical Extraction will take place in close proximity to an SPA and SAC, and where Protected Species Spawn, feed and reside, and, Includes White Tailed Eagle, Choughs, Fulmers,Otters, Seal Colonies. We need your Financial Support to Help Protect this Beautiful Bay and Marine Eco System, and to protect the 50 Inshore Fishermens Jobs, and to protect the Water Quality, and the Eco Tourism Businesses that have developed along the Shores of Bantry Bay on the Wild Atlantic Way.
