Daisy Dares-Vhi Women's Mini Marathon for The Irish Cancer Society and MS Ireland

I have decided to run this year's Vhi Women's Mini Marathon on Sunday 3rd June.

Have I ever run a 10km Mini Marathon before? No! So this whole running business has been quite the shock to the system!

I have decided to do this to raise money for two fantastic charities.

The Irish Cancer Society is one of the charities I chose. Every 3 minutes someone in Ireland receives a cancer diagnosis. It doesn't discriminate between anyone and by 2020, 1 in 2 of us will be diagnosed. This is a truly scary thought. There isn't one of us that hasn't been touched by cancer in some way.
Half of the money I raise will go directly to cancer research, funding and providing much needed support to thousands of the families of those on their cancer journey.

MS Ireland is the second charity I have chosen.
Along with the thousands of other women I will be running with, I will be running with one of my very best friends, Sarah O'Donnell. Sarah is also running for MS Ireland, a cause that means a huge amount to her and her family. I am delighted to be able to support this fantastic charity that works so hard to aid the lives of those living with Multiple Sclerosis.

So I'm going to attempt to run/walk/crawl this 10km run and any money I raise will be hugely appreciated!

Thank you! ❤️
