Vinnie and Amy fund - Co. Clare

We have now surapassed our latest target. The Wall family have requested that any excess, or further donations be forwarded to Temple Street Children's Hospital.

Thank you, everyone, for your generosity and support. Both your donations and kind messages are very much appreciated. The response from all corners has been phenomenal.

The communities of West Clare, particularly around Ennistymon and Lahinch have been shattered with the news of a horrific car crash. Vincent Wall and his little girl Estlin - who would have been four next week - were involved in a collision on the morning of Wednesday March 15th. Vincent was taking her to the crèche in Inagh as he did every morning. In a split second everything changed forever. Little Estlin sustained a fatal brain injury and on Saturday night March 18th she was taken off life support in order to let her pass away peacefully and naturally in her mother Amy’s arms. Vincent has massive brain trauma and is still unconscious in a separate hospital in Dublin.

On top of all this Amy is nursing their 12-week old baby Mannix. Her family, the Dutil’s, have arrived from the US and the Wall family have also gathered in Dublin where they’ve been supported by some of Vinnie and Amy’s close friends who have traveled from all over. Everyone is devastated and in a complete state of shock. Amy requested that Estlin’s organs be donated and that procedure took place immediately after she passed away.

The doctors have said that Vinnie’s recovery will be a long road and it’s impossible to tell how his long-term condition will be. Many people have been asking how they can help, so we here in Ennistymon have set up this fund to provide Amy with some financial assistance for the difficult times ahead and Vinnie’s rehabilitation. Thank you to everyone in Co. Clare who has already contributed cash - this will all go into the same account in Ennistymon, which Amy will have sole access to. And thank you in advance to those who can contribute any amount, no matter how small. Feel free to share this with anyone who might know Vinnie and Amy.
