Online Fundraising for Clubs, Schools and Causes

In May this year a group representing the Irish accident repair industry and their motor trade partners will take on the challenge of climbing the four highest peaks in each of Irelands four provinces. The challenge will take place over three days and will raise funds to support the work of the Irish Cancer Society.

Frank Byrnes of Frank Byrnes Autobody Repairs Ltd Galway and Peter Daly of AkzoNobel Car Refinishing Ireland Ltd. will be organising and coordinating the walkers who take up the challenge. The goal of Climb4Cancer is to raise a minimum of €20,000 that will help fund and support the Irish Cancer Society's home care nursing teams. Walkers will be asked to raise €1,000 through sponsorship and mini events such as quiz nights etc.

This is a journey of hope and support; continual research has seen enormous medical advances and many cancer sufferers can now look forward to much more positive outcomes and go on to lead full lives. A diagnosis of cancer is something none of us ever want to have to hear. Some thirty thousand people receive this news each year. One in three of us will develop some form of cancer at some point in our lives. The Irish Cancer Society offers vital support through their network of cancer care outlets throughout Ireland providing a helping hand and a friendly face at every stage for cancer patients and their families.

This will also be a journey to remember those who have lost their battle against cancer particularly in our industry. The group will carry ribbons to the top of every mountain to represent those who are no longer with us.

So will you join our journey of hope, support and remembrance Climb4Cancer in 2015? Places are very limited so if you are interested or might be able to support us in any way please contact Frank email [email protected] or Peter Daly [email protected]

Together we will follow the rising ground and play our part by offering a helping hand to those who provide vital home care services. Remember, everyone's got a reason.

Money Raised will go to the Irish Cancer Society for Homecare. This will help the peolpe we know to be looked after in the comfort of their own home.
