Cause Description

In existence since 1887, Clarecastle GAA Club is one of the most successful dual clubs in County Clare having won championship titles at every grade in hurling & football.

Currently, Clarecastle GAA caters for almost 50 teams across four different codes (Hurling, Football,Camogie & Ladies football), providing unrivalled facilities (5 pitches,dressing room and meeting rooms, ball wall and new indoor training facility) in the heart of the village.

The Road to Croagher (Clare castle to Croagh Patrick) 2018 is a cycle by Clarecastle GAA to raise money for a number of projects for the clubs underage teams catering for boys and girls. The money raised is used for the underage club and investment in supports, facilities and activities that directly impacted on the operation of the clubs for all underage boys and girls in hurling, football and camogie.

 The cycle takes place over two days leaving Clarecastle GAA travelling to Clifden on Day One and then onto Croagh Patrick on Day Two.  The cycle of 250km over two days will see 45 cyclists tale to the roads for the underage club.
